The 2023 Native Northwest Every Child Matters T-Shirt features the unique design Protected by our Ancestors by Coast Salish artist Simone Diamond. Proceeds from Every Child Matters Orange Shirt Day products will be directed to the Native Northwest Reconciliation Fund to support people and families who continue to be impacted by Residential Schools and intergenerational trauma.

September 30th marks the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation and Orange Shirt Day, a day of remembrance and respect to honour the students and survivors of Canada's Residential School system.
On this day, Canadians are encouraged to wear an orange shirt to show their support for survivors and pay respects to those who did not make it.
