Loulou Lollipop

Loulou Lollipop is a Canadian company founded by twin sisters Eleanor and Angel. It is a design oriented, colour loving and fun seeking company that focuses on high quality baby goods, teething jewelry and toys.

Before Eleanor started Loulou Lollipop in 2015, she was a lead interior designer for a local Vancouver residential construction company, working long hours trying to get by and chip away at the debt that she had inherited. She worked all the way up until her daughter, Kinsley, was born in March 2014. When Kinsley was only 6-months old, Eleanor received the dreaded news that the company she was working for had gone bankrupt, making her maternity leave a permanent leave. Since going back to her previous job was now out of the question, Eleanor started looking for work that she could do from home so that she could help provide for her family while taking care of her daughter until Kinsley could enter pre-school.

The idea of making teething jewelry was sparked when her 6 month old Kinsley broke a couple of Eleanor's favourite necklaces. After a few months of market research, and sourcing bead samples from suppliers, Eleanor decided to take the plunge of entrepreneurship and start making teething jewelry to sell on Etsy. In April 2015, with the limited budget that could be set aside for supplies, Loulou Lollipop opened with a few necklace and pacifier clip designs. These designs were well received by Etsy mothers and babies.

Seeing the early success of their necklace and pacifier clip line, Eleanor and Angel knew they had to have their products tested to conform with local and international safety standards. There would be a significant cost involved with it, but the health and safety of their customers was their utmost priority. In June of 2015, Loulou lollipop passed the testing required for ASTM, CPSC and CPSIA.

Fast forward to a year and half later, Loulou Lollipop is now in over 50 stores world-wide and have been featured in multiple magazines and press. It is also one of the fastest growing silicone teething accessories stores on Etsy with over 8000+ sales and 2000+ FIVE star reviews within ONE year. All of these are attributed to Eleanor's passion for fun, colourful designs, and her knack for creating eye catching colour combinations.
